After starting her career at Sony Music Entertainment in New York, Cara Kleinhaut launched Event Production & Design firm Caravents Inc., in 2001. Now as a bi-coastal, award winning events agency with Cara at the helm, she has been honored as one of BizBash’s Most Innovative Event Pros in 2011 and won several BizBash Awards including Best Overall Event Concept and Best Entertainment Program for Target’s “Party For Good,” a groundbreaking 4,000-person service project and party in NYC. Caravents’ main point of differentiation is their inhouse content creation and technology division with broadcast network credits, which creates original, award winning, multimedia installations along with their in-house live show production and social media activation expertise. 2012 saw some of Caravents’ most ambitious productions to date, including the Total Rewards Launch for Caesars Entertainment, featuring four, simultaneous, live broadcast concert events in NY, LA, Chicago and New Orleans, creating a live, shared concert experience around the country. Additionally, Caravents was tapped to produce Samsung’s North American Launch events in NY and LA rolling out their highly anticipated device, the Samsung Galaxy S III. With Musicares / Musicians Assistant Program (MAP) as her first and longest-standing client, other iconic brands and signature events that have come to rely on Caravents expertise and maintain long term partnerships include: Time Inc. / Essence magazine on their annual Oscar gala, ESSENCE Black Women in Hollywood Awards, which honored Oprah in 2013, Elle magazine on their A- list, ELLE Women In Hollywood Awards, along with lifestyle and entertainment events for Target, HBO, InStyle, artist Takashi Murakami and publishing giants Conde Nast and Hearst.
